Definition of X Mark Signature
If a person is not able to sign he creates a mark which is named as X Mark Signature.
Explanation of X Mark Signature
Suppose a person ABC is suffering from some brain injury let’s say traumatic brain injury and is unable to read or write. He is to open an account or is marrying and has to sign a marriage certificate; he will make a shape of sign X as his signatures.
Why is it important?
Anything legal needs a signature as a consent in papers or forms, even from the person illiterate or disabled. The biggest drawback is such signatures can easily be forged.
