This XCD is used as an official currency for eight countries who are members and associate members of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) except for the British Virgin Islands. States included are; Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Single XCD consists of 100 cents. EC$ is used as a symbol to represent this particular currency which differentiates it from other dollars.
